LCRC Raceway is a family owned race track and hobby shop started by Kevin and Christa Mummah in 2009. The couple met in 2007 while traveling the country racing ATV Nationals, Christa as a racer and employee at JB Racing in East Springfield, PA, and Kevin, Owner of Team Lost Creek Cycles and eventually Crew Chief for Team Suzuki.
Kevin would go on from being a Crew Chief to taking the roll of Team Manager for Team Suzuki, and Christa retired from racing and pursued a role as Press Coordinator for ATV Motocross, doing interviews with the Pro Class as part of a video series called ATVision. During this time, the couple was able to travel together to all the events, and see first hand the best track facilities and successful event production in the country.
While traveling, Kevin and his teammates Dustin Wimmer and John Shelburne rediscovered their love for 1:8 Racing at Revelation Raceway in Montclair, California. Kevin, who had raced as a child, was quickly hooked back into the hobby. When the team returned to Pennsylvania, the lack of local RC Tracks ignited the idea to build the track that was to become LCRC.
The ATV Suzuki Team won their final championship with Josh Creamer, and was disbanded shortly following. The couple decided to take their skills and experience to build LCRC Raceway into the facility reminiscent of those they had visited. The couple was blessed to be granted the 2012 1:8 Offroad Fuel Nationals, kickstarting major improvements to the facility to accommodate the event. This event was responsible for improvements such as the original Camper electrical hookups, fencing around the track, bleachers, and much more. LCRC would go on to host two 1:8 Electric and SCT Nationals, as well as establish The Mugen Challenge as one of the premiere events in the East Coast.
On February 3rd, 2019, Christa launched LCRCRaceway.com's online store during Lost Creek Cycles 23rd year in business. Christa devoted every day for over 6 months adding the inventory to a brand new Point of Sale System that would provide Live Inventory tracking, so that when an item sells in store, it is immediately removed from the online store. This Live Inventory allows LCRC to have accurate inventory counts 98% of the time, with that 2% coming from human error.
In early 2019, ROAR announced LCRC as the host of the 2020 Fuel Nationals, but the event would eventually be postponed during the COVID-19 Pandemic. During the 2019- 2020 year, LCRC grew to provide curbside pickup, and focus more on improving the website's searchability and navigation. Even with the heartbreaking decisions to cancel some of the events, 2020 would turn out to be the family's most successful season to date for race entry numbers.
In 2021, The couple was proud host of the 2021 ROAR 1:8 Offroad Fuel Nationals that was postponed from the previous year. Along with an extension of the electrical system to provide a total of 36 Camper Spots with Electrical Hookup, the couple also added a commercial playground set to accommodate the family friendly camping environment that they hope to provide.
Over the years, the track and facility have grown into something we never could have expected, but we have more up our sleeves. The best is still yet to come. As long as there are racers showing up support, we will show you we are committed to growth and development of our track, facility, program, and hobby shop.
