Reccomendations from our local racers:
Bill Burns, McAlisterville, PA: My first RC car was a Traxxas 2WD Slash bought from LCRC four years ago. This truck is great for anyone looking to get started in RC racing or anyone just wanting a durable RC truck at a great price. My son and I have shared ours and have both raced it and logged many hours of fun at the track and at home. We have definitely given this truck a beating and it just keeps running. We have definitely gotten our money's worth out of our Slash. If you're looking to race there are plenty of racing opportunities across the state. For the locals...you can race this truck at LCRC of course and also there is fun competitive indoor racing at Richfield Mennonite Church during the winter months. My RC hobby (for my son and myself) has expanded to multiple types of RC vehicles over the last few years because of the expertise and help that Kevin and Christa at LCRC have provided to me. I knew absolutely nothing about these RC vehicles when we got our Traxxas Slash and for those that know me I am definitely no mechanic. However, Kevin and Christa are always willing and happy to help. When you walk into LCRC they are not going to try to sell you something you don't need. They treat you like family and whether you're a beginner or an RC enthusiast, they know what you need and will give you the advice you're looking for.
Ian Maize: You can't get more for less compared to one of these cars. I have people ask me all the time what they should get their child/sibling/parent etc for a first RC vehicle. My answer is always the same, a slash. I can't vouch enough for LCRC. Go step inside the door, you'll know why everyone loves the place. You won't get more honest advice or better service.
